Thank you so much for stopping by our website! We are so excited to be able to keep family and friends updated on our life and ministry through this blog. We will be posting often about our experiences in ministry, and hope you will begin to feel a part of what God is doing here.
You may be wondering why we are doing this now, and not 2 years ago! Let us share with you a few reasons.
After serving at AAI for a few years, we have finally felt God leading us to ask for people to partner with us in our ministry- first through prayer. We have been without a home church in the U.S. since we began our ministry, and the real loss of that is not having a group of people to continually lift us up in prayer. God is in the process of re-focusing us, and helping to make our experience as missionaries more fulfilling than ever. This is a very exciting time for us, and we want to share that with others! We need your prayers, family and friends, to keep us focused and strong!
Additionally, God has also been using circumstances to show us the importance of asking people to consider partnering with us as financial supporters. Over the last few years we have always found a way to make our ministry work on our own- just us and God.
During this time we have been shown that God always provides! He has provided for us in amazing ways throughout this missionary journey! He has always provided additional work just when we need it the most! However, due to some of the ministries we have begun to involve ourselves in, we are having to work countless additional hours outside of our ministry. While we believe that this is important, and will continue to work hard as God provides work, it has become difficult for us to keep up with expenses despite our efforts.
We know that God didn't call us to be alone in ministry- in Ephesians 4, we are told that unity in the body of Christ is what causes it to function effectively. It has become clear that God is calling us to partner with others. We believe that God wants us to focus on the work that he called us here to do, and we can be more effective in our mission field with partners in the body of Christ.
In the same way, we believe that God will call some of you to partner with us. We know that no matter what, He is in control and will provide for all of our needs. It is a step up faith for us to ask for support, and it is not something that is easy for us to do. But we are excited to see how God continues to provide to our ministry as we rely on Him with this transparency.
So please, prayerfully consider joining with us. We desperately need your prayer support, and are very appreciative of any financial contribution you can make. We hope that you will connect with us if you have any questions! We are so very thankful for each of you!
