Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances...-1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
My students memorized this important verse in November, and we recite it often. This year, I wanted to keep prayer at the forefront of our classroom. One way we are doing this is by using our prayer wall to write prayer requests (big and small), and then using those to pray for each other, ask each other about our prayers, etc. We also use this as a springboard to discuss how sometimes God doesn't answer our prayers how or when we want Him to.
This has created such a great atmosphere for our classroom, where the students care about each other, and understand the struggles that others are facing. Last week at the beginning of the day, I found several students, completely unprompted, at our "Dear God" wall, writing prayer requests and praying for their classmates. What a beautiful sight!
Chris and I would like to take this opportunity to thank you again for your prayers! They are undoubtedly helping to sustain us during the difficult times. What an amazing testimony to the power of prayer at all ages and stages of life!
